Waxing 101

Everyone knows that waxing beats shaving hands down. Let's talk a little bit about why I think waxing is better than shaving. What sold me was how long it takes to grow back. I am a bit lazy and the less I have to do the better. Waxing is going to last you any where between 3 to 6 weeks, usually it takes several waxes before your hair starts to slow down and thin out. With shaving I give it 1 to 2 weeks tops and your looking like a small forest animal. When waxing your hair is going to grow back thinner, more sparse, no razor bumps, no irritation, and less ingrown hairs. The key is to wax every month with no shaving in between, once you shave it's like starting from scratch and who wants to start all over from the beginning. Here are some tips to follow to keep your skin ingrown free and super smooth.

. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate- Be sure to wait 3 days after your wax to begin exfoliating. Exfoliating will remove any dead skin. Remember wait at least 3 days after your service before you start to exfoliate.

. Moisturize - Be sure to moisturize your skin to keep the skin hydrated and the hairs soft

. If you find yourself with ingrown hairs, purchase our ingrown hair serum to help get rid of any ingrown hairs and bumps.

.Be sure to get your wax done when needed and no shaving in between

Exfoliating before your service will make for an easier wax experience. Be sure to take pain reliever at least 30 minutes before your appointment to help with any discomfort. Also keep in mind that caffiene will highten your sensitivity and the week before and after your cycle will highten your sensitivity as well.

Waxing may not be for everyone, but it's definitley worth a shot. You decide shaving or waxing
